Tarpon fishing Report March 18, 2022

Mar 18, 2022

Let’s get this season started

The flats are warming up, hordes of bait are flooding the area.  Snook are roaming the flats, channels and mangrove shorelines.  This is the best time of the year to fish for them.

Soon the migration of giant tarpon will be here for their annual showing.  I am so ready to get started.  I have a few openings left in May and June and more open in July.

This past fall tarpon fishing in the Everglades and Florida Bay was awesome as usual.  There were lots of tarpon around Florida Bay and all over the Everglades backcountry.  Most fish were caught on spin but many were caught on fly as well.  With the consistent weather we had many days with multiple releases.  I will be back to fish September and October in 2022.  I have a few days left open in September and just a couple in October.  If you are interested in fishing for tarpon in the wilderness of the Florida Everglades check out Gladestarpon.com.

Till next time…
